Foreshadowing Christ in the Old Testament – Feeding the 5000

Hezekiah, king of Judah reestablishes the temple and put the priests back to work.  Jesus reestablishes the temple as existing in the body of believers themselves.   The feeding of the 5000 shows us that he has reestablished this as the King so when the temple was destroyed in 70AD we would know we were a Kingdom of Priests with a direct connection to God.   Paul tells us that the mystery of God is revealed from the prophets writings.  See Romans 16:25-26 and Revelation 1:3 tells us if we understand this we are blessed.   Here is a quick breakdown of the comparison I did. Comparison Chart Feeding 5000 and 2 Chronicles 31 Hezekiah reestablishes the temple

I would encourage you to read the story of the feeding of the 5000 found in Mark 6 or Luke 9.  THEN read the reestablishing of the temple by Hezekiah in 2 Chronicles 31:2-10.
