The American Bible Challange: A Family Opportunity

American Bible ChallengeThe American Bible Challenge premiered last night and it is a great way to engage your family for some healthy television.  The fast paced game show that has contestants answer Bible questions and work as a team, kept the interest of my entire family from age 10 to 73!  We studied up and played along and it was great  fun!  All the contestants are playing for charity which teaches the importance of giving.  Minnie’s Food PantrySamaritan’s Purse and City Crossroads were the first three.  The charities were highlighted at the start of the show and the short clips were put together well and showed anyone watching the sacrifice of many.

In the end, one of the kids there mentioned that he noticed the team that prayed right before the final round was the team that won.  Wow!  What a lesson!

The prophet Isaiah tells in chapter 55 verse 11 the Word of God never comes back empty!   “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.”.  Take this opportunity to spend time with your family and friends on this little “staycation” that costs nothing!  If you don’t have the game show network at home, play the game on your computer or ask your church to sponsor the night at their location.  It would be a great opening to bring someone you know that hasn’t been to church before.

Our family certainly had a blast and will do it again next week!
