Great time at the Christmas Sing-a-long!

Kids at ElysJoy Reading the Christmas Story from LukeWhat a great time for kids and grown ups a like!  We felt God moving as we sung Christmas songs, read from Luke 2 and just hung out.  Lucille, Deb, Janie and Barb from the Elsie and Logan Yates family  attended along with Jennifer, Chris, Mark and Reba Sue.  We had 14 kids attend along with parents and grandparents.  It was a great time.  There were many great moments where we could see God’s spirit move.  Two especially stood out.  About an hour in, I was with the group of girls and one looked up at me and out of the blue said “Can you tell me about Jesus?”  Of course, the work of setting up and getting ready didn’t matter as we sat and talked about our Savior!  The next one was when we were naming the animals that were there when Jesus was born.  One of the boys said “Don’t forget the Holy Ghost was there!”  It was so funny and very awesome.  Both of those children asked for a Bible and got them to go home with them. We must remember God’s power as we walk through this world and continue to pray for our generations!  Here are some pictures from the event!

  1. Looks like everyone had a good time by the smiles on the faces. God too must have been smiling knowing the story of his love was being told. We know of one special lady that was up there looking down shouting Glory, Glory. Another one of her prayers is being answered as she knew it would. God works in mysterious ways and he does things in his time. So here you go on a journey to fulfill a prayer that was whispered to God many years ago. May God lead, guide and direct us as a family to do his will and be a shining light on the hill for those that are in need whether it be financial or just a lending ear to hear their story and stand with them in prayer. May God continue to bless us all. Love, Carl and Lorraine
